9/15/14: Process Announces the Launch of Process Digital

NEW YORK, NY – September 15, 2014 – Process, a successful production company for independent features, recently announced the launch of a new company  to be dedicated to the creation and production of original branded content and commercials. The new company will bring the same blend of artistic storytelling and commercial viability that has always marked its feature film work to the world of branded content and commercials.

“This is a natural progression for Process,” says Tim Perell, Founder of Process. “We have always been committed to combining compelling storytelling, distinctive directors, artistic merit, and commercial viability to our feature work, and we believe that approach translates perfectly to the world of branded content and commercials. There is great opportunity in this space, and we have just the right kind of filmmakers to excel in it.”Seeing its unique filmmaking and storytelling process as a natural fit for the world of branded content and commercials, Process has already created and produced “Claire Danes’ Choice,” a short film for Audi that garnered over 3 million online hits in its first eight days before being broadcast as a two-minute short during the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards. The company has also done branded content and commercial work for Brooks and Clif Bar.

Since its opening in 2001, Process has been producing vibrant and eclectic indie films that provoke reaction and spark conversation. The company’s impressive directorial roster includes familiar and celebrated names such as Mary Harron — who helmed American Psycho (2000) starring Christian Bale. She was also personally commissioned by Georgio Armani to create a short film highlighting his Fall/Winter “Easy Chic” collection in 2012. Other directors on the roster include the directorial team of Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini – who brought American Splendor to screens in 2003, John Krokidas (Kill Your Darlings, 2013) and Greg Camalier (Muscle Shoals, 2013) who have grabbed the attention of critics and prestigious film festivals around the world, and Daniel Schechter’s Life of Crime, starring Jennifer Aniston and Tim Robbins, which is currently in theaters.
